May 2023's PS Plus lineup had a few noteworthy titles, including arguably this year's biggest addition to the service outside of Horizon Forbidden West. Along with just being one of the best PS Plus PS5 games, HFW's debut might demonstrate how Sony plans to treat first-party exclusives moving forward. Narratively, the game delivers the goods as well, building nicely upon its predecessor's groundwork. Horizon Forbidden West has a massive and lavish open-world, fine-tuned combat, and epic enemy designs, particularly for the robotic dinosaurs. In search of a way to save GAIA, Aloy heads west in pursuit of Sylens and becomes embroiled in a conflict between two tribes. The sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn is bigger and, arguably, better. Resident Evil 7, Scarlet Nexus, Outriders, and The Forgotten City are not only good games in their own right, but they also cover a wide range of genres and gameplay styles. The PS Plus Extra lineup for February 21, 2023, had its share of big names, and quite a few of these new additions to the tier came with native PS5 versions. The game also looks great, arguably better than some of the movies in places. It does a decent job of easing players into its universe while gradually introducing new mechanics.

These stages are all vast, ambitious, and a ton of fun. Once the campaign is out of the way, Chaos Theory becomes available, and the mode offers alternate-reality takes on the Jurassic Park movies. The game's campaign mode is short and generally lackluster, but it mostly exists to teach the basics. Ever wanted to create a dinosaur theme park? Well, Jurassic World Evolution 2 offers just that, although this only becomes apparent after a few hours.
